Our Story (Continued)
With Tansu’s words:
“As Fly Your Mind designers, we met in 2013.
Before we met; Erim, -one of the partners-, had been in aviation sector for more than 15 years. His interest to planes started in his childhood. First as a hobby, then as a profession he did for a living; simulators and aviation trainings have been major milestones for his professional career. He had been building and selling simulators for more than 10 years, he had completed over 300 episodes of aviation shows on TV, he had trained hundreds of candidate pilots for assessments of major airline companies and he actively participated in the construction of many professional simulator systems.
I (Tansu) as the other partner of the project on the other hand had been a consultant in human resources sector for years. I had been actively recruiting and have carried out thousands of interviews, had carried out many organisational development and process improvement projects for my clients and also had delivered professional development trainings. I was (and still am) very much interested in unique and interesting training designs.
When we first met with the help of a common friend; soon after our first meeting; we developed the idea of merging our interests to a common project: a business training happening in the cockpit. The idea was exciting, but the design and conceptualisation of it was not easy in the beginning. We worked for almost two years for designing and testing the project with real participants. After the final test in 2015, we decided to launch the project for our potential clients. Since then, we had been delivering the Fly Your Mind Trainings with great pleasure.
In 2017, we have decided to expand the same project to Europe and have chosen Belgium as the base for this expansion. And finally in the beginning of 2019, we have opened our doors for our visitors.”
